Photo Tour of Track Locations

Please Note!

On May 4, 2007, we were notified that this site was being blamed for new vandalism in the area. Trackway proponents are extremely upset that this photo tour is showing that there is nothing within the proposed monument area that warrants national monument protection.

They fabricated a false report of vandalism and persuaded the BLM to threaten an emergency closure of all the recreational routes if the photo tour was not removed from this website.

You can read the BLM threat email here and our response to each allegation here.

Keep in mind that it is illegal to collect any tracks that you might find. It is not the purpose of this website to guide someone to areas to collect fossilized tracks. If you go to these sites, you will just be disappointed by the fact that there is not anything worth collecting anyway. Also, rumor has it that the BLM has implemented photo surveillance of most of these sites, so if you go collecting, you might get more than you bargained for. Please just look if you go to any of these sites.

Since it has now been proven that there was NO vandalism, the photo tour is now back up. The photo tour is to show the public and government officials that there is nothing there worthy of a national monument. These tiny tracks may be significant to a handful of specialized scientists, but they fail to meet the publics expectations of a national monument.

WE ALL WILL LOOSE IF YOU DIG, OR VANDALIZE THESE SITES !!!
